I've been building extensions for the WoltLab Suite for years. And at some point, one extension wasn't enough anymore — I wanted to build an entire shop system, exactly the way I'd always wanted one for my own projects. Not a module that only covers part of the journey, but one that's thought through from the product page all the way to ongoing billing.
So I started. Not as a weekend project, but as what a complete shop system means to me: one that doesn't stop at "add a product, set a price, done" — but continues on into real business models, real tax obligations, and real recurring revenue.
And today's the day I'm handing it over. YoureCom Shop, the Subscriptions extension, and the Stripe payment method are now publicly available. No more beta access, no more "coming soon" — it's here now.
Why I didn't want to just call it "done"
At some point during development, I set myself a rule: if I leave out a feature just because somewhere else it's sold as an expensive add-on, then I'm doing it wrong. That's why YoureCom Shop ships with a statistics dashboard, multi-currency support, automatic invoices and credit notes, a full review system, and automatic tax determination based on the destination-country principle, right from the start — not as an upsell, but because I see it as the baseline, not a bonus.
Your shop, not my layout
One thing mattered a lot to me here: I didn't want to force my own taste on anyone. That's why the shop includes a freely configurable widget system for your homepage, no coding required. Static and dynamic widgets, ten automatic selection algorithms like bestsellers, top-rated, or recommended, combinable with your own curated lists, shown as a card view, classic list, or slider. You decide what your visitors see first — I just deliver the toolbox.
The part that matters most to me: Subscriptions
Honestly, this is the actual reason the whole thing started. One-time sales are nice, but a business that lasts needs predictable, recurring revenue. So I looked closely at what that actually requires: trial periods, minimum contract terms, an automatic payment retry when a charge fails instead of letting the whole subscription die on the spot. An MRR dashboard so you can see where your business is actually heading, instead of just hoping. That's no longer manual work for you — it runs in the background while you focus on your actual product.
And so this doesn't just work in theory, Stripe is now available as a payment method too — cleanly integrated, payments processed exclusively through signed webhooks. The technical foundation that makes renewals run fully automatically, without your customers having to confirm payment every single month.
So, what now?
If you're looking for a solution for recurring sales on the WoltLab Suite — this is exactly what I built it for. If you're already running a shop, take a look at what's included here out of the box. And if you're simply curious how this would feel on your own site: try the free online demo, no sales pressure at all.
I spent a long time on this because this project genuinely matters to me. Now it's here.
