YoureCom System Upgrade: Workplace replaces support forum & migration to 6.2
I’ll keep it short and honest:
This wasn’t a “small update” – this was taking everything apart and putting it back together properly.
YoureCom is now fully running on WoltLab Suite Core 6.2 – including the shop.
Technically, this finally gives me a solid foundation to build on, without constantly working around legacy issues.
Support: a deliberate cut
The most visible change:
Support is no longer handled via the forum, but بالكامل through the workplace.
The old support forum isn’t gone – it has been moved to an archive.
You can still read everything, but no new topics will be created there.
Why this step?
Simple: More than once, topics got lost in the forum or simply faded out of focus.
Just yesterday:
A bug was reported in the workplace, and that’s when I noticed there was still an unresolved request sitting there that hadn’t been on my radar.
That’s exactly the difference.
In the workplace, nothing gets lost.
Everything is assigned, visible, and stays “open” until it’s actually resolved.
This isn’t a feature… it’s a different standard of support I set for myself.
License management: rethought from scratch
I completely rebuilt the license logic in the shop.
That was necessary to make the system clean and future-proof.
That said:
If anything looks off or a license behaves strangely → just reach out.
I’ll fix it quickly, no drama.
Current state: intentionally not perfect
I could have spent a few more days polishing everything.
I chose not to.
The current style doesn’t fully align with 6.2 yet and still has some rough edges.
I’ll fix those step by step in the live system.
Priority was clear:
👉 System back online
👉 Foundation in place
👉 Keep moving forward
Shop: next stage coming
In the next few days, I’ll open the shop to the public.
And again: no polished marketing talk.
Despite extensive internal testing, I’ll be the first real beta tester in the live environment.
Because some things only show up when everything is actually running.
If you’re impatient:
Feel free to reach out and take an early look.
But fair warning:
👉 At your own risk
👉 Not everything is final yet
What this really means
This wasn’t an “update”.
This was the moment I decided:
👉 keep patching things together
👉 or build a clean foundation once and for all
I chose the second option.
And on that foundation, I’ll now build the things I’ve been wanting to implement for a long time – in the shop, in the workplace, and across the entire YoureCom ecosystem.
