Not every product fits a one-time purchase model. Software licenses, memberships, support contracts or ongoing services need a billing model that repeats – reliably, automatically, and without manual overhead.

That's exactly what Subscriptions adds to the YoureCom Shop: a complete subscription and billing system. Existing products aren't replaced — they're extended with subscription offerings, either as an additional purchase option or as the exclusive way to buy.

Offerings instead of fixed prices

One product, several offerings: define any number of subscription offerings per product, combine one-time setup fees with recurring amounts, and give each offering its own internal name for staff use only. Product lists and product pages automatically show a correctly summarized price — whether it's a single offering, several price tiers, or a mix of one-off and recurring billing.

Contracts with clear rules

Every offering comes with its own contract terms: free trial periods, minimum contract durations, cancellation notice periods, and freely configurable renewal behavior — automatic renewal, automatic expiry at term end, or manual renewal by the customer. When performance starts immediately, before the statutory withdrawal period ends, the required consent and compensation notice are collected right in checkout.

Payments that just work

Recurring charges run automatically in the background. If a charge fails, a configurable automatic retry kicks in with adjustable attempt count and wait time — the customer is notified by email with a direct link to update their payment method. Only after every attempt is exhausted does the subscription count as definitively failed and get terminated automatically. A dedicated payment-issues section in the ACP lists every affected subscription with status, retry count and next attempt date, with manual retry or mark-as-paid options built in. Customers can also update their payment method proactively at any time, without waiting for a failed charge first.

Full control for customers

Under "My Subscriptions", customers always have an overview of active contracts, terms and cancellation deadlines. Cancellations go through a traceable review process and automatically trigger the appropriate termination communication. Anyone selling their own offerings manages them conveniently under "My Offerings".

Numbers that matter

A dedicated statistics module delivers the metrics that actually matter for recurring revenue: MRR, active subscriptions, new signups, churn rate, renewal revenue, and retry success rate — individually permissioned and available at a glance.

Seamlessly integrated into the YoureCom Shop

Subscriptions is built entirely on top of the YoureCom Shop. Invoices, orders, licenses, and user groups integrate seamlessly into the existing workflow, while subscription orders are clearly identified with their own badge in the standard order overview.

When used with a compatible payment provider, subscription renewals are processed automatically in the background without requiring any customer interaction. Off-session payments are currently supported by the YoureCom Stripe plugin.

Subscriptions in the wider shop context

Subscriptions are strongest when they are part of a complete shop system. YoureCom Shop provides product pages, orders, invoices and customer accounts, Stripe adds modern online payments and Shipping opens the shop for physical products as well.

Version 6.2.2: place offerings directly in widgets

With Subscriptions 6.2.2, offerings can now be configured inside shop widgets. This lets you place memberships, support contracts or recurring product bundles exactly where visitors should discover them: on overview pages, start pages or curated sales areas.

For sales, this matters because subscriptions must not only exist technically. They need to be visible, comparable and easy to reach. Together with YoureCom Shop, Stripe, PayPal Checkout and Shipping, this creates a shop stack that supports one-time purchases, recurring revenue and physical products in one system.
