User Rating adds a complete member rating system to your WoltLab Suite. Users can share their experiences with each other and gradually build a transparent reputation within your community.

And it goes far beyond five stars: ratings, subjects, detailed feedback, attachments and an optional reference provide the context that turns a simple score into meaningful information.

A user's reputation at a glance

Ratings appear exactly where they are most relevant: on the user.

A compact summary displays the user's average rating and total number of received ratings. This information can be shown both on the user profile and within the message sidebar.

A dedicated profile view gives members access to the complete ratings and the experiences behind them.

You can also use a configurable box to highlight some of the best-rated members of your community.

More than just five stars

Sometimes a good rating needs a little more context.

In addition to the star rating itself, reviews can therefore include:

• a subject and detailed review
• file attachments
• an optional reference link
• freely manageable rating categories

The reference link can point directly to a marketplace listing, order, project or related post, making it easier for other members to understand the context of a rating.

Custom categories allow you to distinguish between different types of experiences such as purchases, sales, services or collaborations.

The result isn't just another rating – it's an experience others can actually understand.

There are two sides to every story

Not every experience is perceived the same way by both parties.

Rated users can therefore publicly respond to ratings they receive. Other members can see both the original review and the rated user's response.

Depending on the configured user group permissions, users can also edit or delete their own ratings and responses.

For your team, familiar WoltLab Suite tools remain available: reports, moderation and the recycle bin integrate directly into your community's existing workflows.

You set the rules

A rating system only creates lasting value when abuse doesn't become part of the system.

That's why you decide under which conditions users are allowed to submit ratings.

New ratings can optionally require approval by your team before becoming publicly visible. Additional safeguards include:

• minimum user account age
• required minimum number of posts
• configurable cooldown between ratings
• optional limit of one rating per user pair
• detailed user group permissions
• separate permissions for uploading and downloading attachments

This allows you to operate the rating system as openly or restrictively as your community requires.
