One world connecting many communities

ByteMon does not end at the boundary of a single forum. Participating WoltLab communities share the same persistent game world. Players retain their home-community identity while meeting members of other communities and exploring the world together.

An existing community account is all they need: no separate game account and no additional login.

Create your own worlds

The integrated map editor lets players build their own areas with terrain, plants, trees, buildings, and many other objects. Player-created maps can be published and visited by others. ByteMon therefore grows through both official content and the creativity of its communities.

The ByteMon Client integrates login, interface, and permissions directly into your WoltLab Suite. The game world, realtime connections, and player progress are provided centrally by YoureCom.

A game world shaped by its communities

ByteMon is continuously expanded with new areas, stories, and features. The wishes and ideas of participating communities play a central role in that development.

Players and community operators can share feedback and suggestions, helping shape which adventures, creatures, and possibilities come next.

Connected in just a few minutes

1. Install the free ByteMon Client.
2. Register through the ByteMon Community Registration.
3. Enter your Community ID, Security Token, and private key in the ACP.
4. Check the connection using the integrated diagnostics.
5. Choose which user groups are allowed to play ByteMon.

The private key remains exclusively inside your installation. Signatures, timestamps, and single-use nonces protect communication with the central ByteMon infrastructure.

Transparent data processing

When the game starts, the local user ID, username, Security Token, timestamp, and a single-use nonce are transmitted with a signature. Email addresses and passwords are not transmitted.

The central game state contains the data required by ByteMon, such as character details, position, captured ByteMon, inventory, quest progress, and any player-created world. A privacy-policy text module describing the actual data processing is included. It does not replace an individual legal assessment.
